(11.01.06) Architecture is no longer delivering the jams. None of us handled fame well. Any info on current projects will be posted on MySpace. Thanks!

ARCHITECTURE Thax Douglas - 5/14/02

denture's arrange themselves as if for a camping ground, reasoning that if they're dead, technically, in this life then they'll be "alive" in the next one

-this childish yearning to be "alive" is one of the most annoying features of the dead as a class-

It'd be nice to know that if you stepped on something dead like a sidewalk that it wouldn't leap up and bite your ankles, or worse.

(7.19.05) Architecture is playing at the Empty Bottle on Sunday August 14th. See the "live" page for more details.

Also, the EDM tour was smashing. D. Sullivan would like to send his thanks to all the EDMs for their hospitality.

(4.15.05) A good chunk of the members of Architecture (Kirk, Donny & Matt) will be on tour in Europe playing in Early Day Miners in May. Dates confirmed so far:

5/14, Legnano, Italy - Jail
5/15 Bologna, Italy - Club 74
5/16 Castelfranco-Treviso, Italy - Buenaventure
5/18 Genova, Italy - Milk
5/21 Leipzig, Germany - UT Connewitz
5/22 Berlin, Germany - Bastard
5/25 Darmstadt, Germany - Oetinger Villa

5/27 Hamburg, Germany - Nachtasyl
5/28 Amsterdam, Holland - Paradiso

(10.11.04) Recording for the new full length begins in the suburbs of Chicago next weekend. Residents of outer Chicagoland, beware!

(9.8.04) We're all busy gearing up to record our 2nd full-length. We'll let you know how things progress. Meanwhile, if you're not registered to vote, you have till Oct. 2nd to do it and still be eligible to vote for the presidential election. So get to it - every vote counts!

(6.29.04) Architecture is opening for The New Year in Chicago at Schuba's in July. Check out the details on the live page. We're super psyched about this one as we're all big fans of The New Year (and the Kadane brothers' previous band, Bedhead). You might want to get tickets in advance for this one, as it could sell out.

(5.3.04) We're offering a download of a song from the SONBL sessions that didn't make it to the record. It's called Anti-Glacier and it's on the music page.

(4.28.04) SONBL is reviewed on Lost At Sea. Check it out here.

(4.18.04) SONBL is reviewed on the Italian website Sentire Ascoltare.

(4.16.04) Daylight Savings is a featured download on the great Internet radio site 3wk.com. Check it out here.

(4.13.04) Kirk and I had a heck of a time in Italy with Early Day Miners. We even pulled out an impromptu opening set of Architecture songs in Pesaro. Everyone we met made us feel welcome and at home. Our sincerest thanks to them all! Also there's a new SONBL review up at Almostcool.org.

(3.24.04) We've got some Chicago shows coming up in the coming months. Details on the live page.

(2.23.04) Architecture is hitting the road for a short Midwestern mini-tour soon. They'll be performing in Bloomington, IN, Lexington, KY and Pittsburgh, PA. Check the live page for details.

(2.18.04) A review from a fella that caught our show with The Wrens at Sports-Den.net

(1.19.04) The Speed of Not Being Lost has received its first review over at Delusions of Adequacy.

(1.6.04) Chicago radiostation WLUW has named The Speed of Not Being Lost its #4 local release of 2003! Also, if you were really fiending to see the Schuba's show with the Wrens on the 17th, and didn't get tickets in time, you can at least watch the live webcast on DCN.

(1.5.04) The January 17th show at Schuba's Tavern is now sold out. Thanks to all who snapped up tickets - we'll see you there!

(11.11.03) The Speed of Not Being Lost, our first CD, is now available for ordering online. Get your copy here. Copies are available locally in Chicago at Reckless Records. Also, the CD is now at most college and community radio stations in the US, so feel free to call in and request it for play. Also, also, you can add us to your roster of 80,000,000 Friendsters by searching for the name "Architecture Band."

(11.05.03) There are 3 live tracks from the WLUW performance up on the Music Page.

(9.23.03) We're planning a tour for Spring 2004. If you'd like us to come to your town, let us know: info@architecturemusic.com.

(9.10.03) We've posted a discount flier for the next Architecture show at the DoubleDoor. You can download it here. It's in Adobe PDF format, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print it, which you can download for free here. The flier must be presented at the door, and will knock the $5 cover charge down to $3. Also, for non-Chicago residents (or the Chicago immobile) there will be a live webcast of the performance at The Digital Club Network. This will start shortly before we do. If you were to put a gun to my head and demand a guess at the Architecture start time, I'd say between 11:30-midnight. But please, don't do that.

(8.29.03) Our first full-length recording, "The Speed of Not Being Lost," has now been mastered. We just finished up with Dan Stout at Colossal Mastering in Chicago, who did a bang-up job. Artwork should be done shortly, and then it's off to the presses. Expect a CD release show in October or November.

(8.22.03) We'll be performing live on the air @ WLUW on Thursday, October 9th, 2003, 6:30pm. If you're in the Chicago area you can tune in at 88.7 FM or listen to the live webcast.

(7.16.03) The Property Line is now up on the Music Page. Also the Flaccid Rock Records website is now online.

(7.10.03) Well, after more than a year of work (since July 4, 2002), we're calling the record done. We head up to Colossal Mastering at the end of August to get it mastered with Dan Stout, then it's off to the presses. We're expecting a September release. Check back here for the latest info and new MP3s.

(6.20.03) Work on the record seems to finally be drawing to a close. We'll be adding a few extra frills here and there over the next few weeks. Once that's done we'll be doing a limited release on our own exciting new imprint, Flaccid Rock Records. So, get psyched.

(5.04.03) Just finished up tracking the songs last night. Went great - all the props in the world to Dan Burton. Now to get mixing...

(4.22.03) We're going into the studio again. The Chicago contingent will be joining Matt in Bloomington @ Dan Burton's Grotto Home Studio in a couple of weeks. Matt & Dan will be recording a handful of new songs to help fill out The Speed of Not Being Lost.

(1.30.03) "A Subtle Nod To Arms" will be played on WZZN "The Zone" Chicago Radio. This will take place Sunday Feb 2nd on the Local Zone program at midnight. Yeah, I know. We think it's weird, too.

(1.17.03) Architecture was featured on WBEZ Chicago NPR's 848 Program. You can listen to that portion of the broadcast by clicking on this link (requires RealPlayer).
